A year marked by success

Recapping Hicron successful projects, the past year 2010 brought about a record number of 20 new projects, Hicron’s own IT solutions and the development of SAP trade competencies. It was also the year of strengthening partner cooperation.

The year of innovative projects
„In our clients’ minds we function primarily as experts in carrying out the most difficult and complex tasks related to the delivery of SAP based business solutions. Whenever other companies give up, we go the extra mile to find dedicated solutions and even to create them from scratch. Thus, not only do we meet our clients’ requirements, but also automate and simplify the completion of the ongoing processes” – says Remigiusz Efinowicz, member of the board at HICRON.
When recapping on Hicron’s 2010 project outcomes, one must mention complete SAP ERP implementations, SAP RE-FX real-estate implementations in a number of customers operating both domestically and internationally, the beginning of a SAP CRM global implementation and rollouts in MAN Group. Moreover, HICRON consultants, working together with Volvo company, developed the Internet Pricing and Configurator – a cutting-edge system for product configuration; the company implemented and developed, along with three clients, HICRON WM Mobile functionalities and solutions that facilitate remote warehouse operations in the SAP system; HICRON also carried out SAP Business Objects and Business Intelligence projects.
New contracts had an impact on the company’s sales, which in 2010 increased by 35% from the year before.
“Development of innovative solutions which help our clients face their business challenges is a top priority at HICRON” says Michał Guzek, a board member and a business solutions architect at the company. “In the past year we focused on developing solutions for utilities, retail and FMCG sectors. We were the first SAP partner in Poland to develop billing solutions for the sales of natural gas, energy, heat, water, sewage, and even telecommunication services, implementing them at KRI SA company operating in natural gas sector. We have started the implementation of proprietary SAP HICRON POS system which will facilitate the management of 170 retail points of sale at Piekarnia Pod Telegrafem bakery” – he adds.
HICRON strengthened its service competences, having increased number of SAP and SAP maintenance clients for application support by 5 companies, including Stelmet, Pallmed, Novol, Cermag and MDD.

The year of partnership
The year 2010 was marked not only by the success in the field of client cooperation, but also in the field of partnership, especially with SAP Polska.
“By offering HICRON a partnership within SAP PartnerEdge program, we want to acknowledge the pace at which the company has joined the leaders in SAP ERP implementation in Poland, and we look forward to company’s successes in this field”- comments Michał Jeżewski, Central&Eastern Europe Channel Director at SAP. ”A 70-qualified-consultant strong team, well-defined development strategy, competences in utility, insurance, FMCG, automotive and real estate sectors – just to name a few of HICRON’s advantages” – he adds.
Tightening the cooperation with Swiss partners and setting up HICRON Schweiz AG was of great importance for HICRON’s position in Austria, Germany and Switzerland, and it has helped set the course for HICRON’s strategy in the years to come, which is strengthening of international relations and building sales and implementation channels in western countries.
Other significant achievements of HICRON include the beginning of cooperation with Beyond.pl which has resulted in complementing the company’s outsourcing offer, as well as awarding HICRON the sign of Swiss quality Swissstandards.pl for their services and products.

Right strategy, good perspectives
“I can say with confidence that it was a good year. Mainly due to our strategy of a long-term cooperation. While maintaining good relations with our Clients, we realised several SAP development projects, domestically and abroad, for such companies as AmRest, KRI, AMAG and Volvo. We signed a few contracts for SAP implementations with clients from aviation and military industries, which we had not worked with before. Trust, which our regular clients put in our company, was confirmed by numerous contracts for service support, including international clients” – says Remigiusz Efinowicz.
Over the next year HICRON plans on strengthening its leading position in expert business solution implementations. This applies to both SAP portfolio products (including SAP for automotive and insurance industries and SAP RE-FX) and HICRON (portal solutions, SAP HICRON Billing Solution, SAP HICRON POS). “Taking the advantage of our close cooperation with our foreign partners, such as SAP AG and HICRON Schweiz, we want to expand with our offer into the European market. Over the next year we are going to focus on the development of other proprietary products, especially complete and mature industry solutions designed to support companies in realising key processes in their fields. Taking into account our experience and competences, know-how and trust that our clients put in us, I am confident we will realise this plan successfully” – says Michał Guzek.
