HICRON implements SAP ERP and POS in Piekarnia Pod Telegrafem

HICRON has entered into an agreement to supply and implement SAP ERP and HICRON POS with the company “Piekarnia pod Telegrafem”, specializing in baking and distribution of bakery goods. It is the largest SAP ERP implementation of all projects of this kind that have been carried out in the baking industry in Poland so far.

The range of the SAP ERP implementation at the “Piekarnia Pod Telegrafem” has substantially exceeded a standard implementation. In addition to the implementation of finance-related modules (financial accounting, fixed asset accounting, cash flow, controlling), logistics (sales and distribution, materials management, high storage machines servicing), production and human resources and payroll, all “Piekarnia pod Telegraphem” stores will be equipped with the proprietary HICRON POS solution, connected with POS terminals and fully integrated with the SAP ERP system. Moreover, the project encompasses the implementation of advanced analytical and report solutions available within the SAP Business Objects Solutions.

The project started with an analysis of business processes and the development of the implementation concept. A productive launch of the system is planned for October 1st, 2011. The goal of the SAP ERP system implementation is complete sales automation, optimization of the company’s operation, and also the implementation of management standards displayed by Western companies.

Simultaneously, HICRON’s experience in customizing SAP solutions guarantees adaptation of the system to our unique requirements” – he further explains.

One of the sales support applications offered by HICRON in the bakery is an innovative HICRON POS (Point of Sale) solution. After it has been implemented in all points of sale of “Piekarnia pod Telegrafem” and integrated with SAP ERP Systems’ it will enable instant retail sales management, as well as instant access to all data in the SAP system.

The solution will help manage overall sales processes, including cash and non-cash payments, returns logging, weighing devices control, sales done with a bar-code scanner, placing, carrying out and management of sales orders, reporting and inventory, price management etc.

The HICRON POS solution in the “Piekarnia Pod Telegrafem” bakery will be used primarily to streamline sales and stock management, as well as to facilitate information flow between headquarters and retail sales units. This is where the personnel responsible for sales will benefit from the advantages of SAP ERP, mostly by having an access to the up-to-date price lists, quantities and types of goods, promotional actions etc. All sales transactions carried out at points of sale will be automatically reflected in the central SAP ERP system which will enable generation of updated reports from retail stores” – says Robert Stiller, Business Solution Architect at HICRON.

The HICRON POS will support retail sales in the chain of 160 company stores.

HICRON POS software allows for substantial operational cost reduction thanks to a flexible and configurable business model in which particular processes are selected by its user. Using HICRON software the administrative staff and salesmen can quickly and effectively change pricing and stock level rules, apply new rebates, add promotional actions, as well as introduce changes in stocking strategies of central warehouse and retail stores.
