HICRON improves the functioning of SAP Dealer Portal in AMAG

HICRON signed a contract with AMAG, the Swiss importer of luxury cars, to develop and support SAP Dealer Portal application.

The contract covers changes in portal’s technology, as well as process optimization. The change in technology within AMAG stems from the interest in using the most prospective and promising tools, and the company providing these ensures service, maintenance and an access to new software versions.

HICRON, which has been chosen to supply the solution, has experience in the implementation of SAP Dealer Portal and business solutions in projects implemented in such companies as MAN Nutzfahrzeuge, VOLVO CE, and Porsche.

While implementing changes in technical solutions of the dealer portal, previous processes and functionalities of the portal’s users will remain unchanged. The HICRON consultants will be responsible for analyzing the company’s business processes, controlled so far by the previous portal application, as well as for modeling their optimal implementation within a new SAP Dealer Portal solution. While working on an implementation model, the consultants will create the architecture of a new application, taking into consideration such elements as navigation components and the user menu. HICRON will also be responsible for development of various elements of the portal, including ordering process, customer relations management, product configurator.

The system is to be fully implemented in November 2010.
HICRON consultants have worked with AMAG since 2006 realizing the projects of SAP tools development and optimization, including SAP DBM (Dealer Business Management System) and SAP VMS (Vehicle Management System). AMAG is the first SAP customer to use SAP DBM and SAP VMS systems as a commerce platform.
