Process Optimization in the SAP ERP System in Novol

In September 2011, HICRON consultants, pursuant to the contract concluded, initiated the optimization of business processes in the SAP ERP system in Novol. The productive start of the solution is scheduled for the end of the first and beginning of the second quarter of 2012.

Work will focus on all the SAP ERP modules implemented in Novol: finance and control (FI, CO), sales and distribution (SD), material management (MM), production and production planning (PP), quality management (QM), warehouse management (WM) and human resources and payroll (HCM/HR).

Given the continuous business development, the management of Novol decided to focus the project on optimizing logistics processes and, which is equally important, on improving information flow and business processes between particular companies within the Novol Group.

“The desire to maintain Novol’s high competitive edge has inclined us to take actions that would allow us to reach this goal. The activities planned together with the HICRON consultants will enhance access to all information supporting decision making and will help optimize the execution of processes among different units within the group. According to our analyses, this should translate into considerable financial gains and allow us to further develop our business,” explains Tomasz Włodarczak, Project Manager from Novol sp. z o.o. – “We have just entered the next stage of the project that involves the preparation of relevant tools required to put these changes into effect,” he adds.

The first project stage involved working out a concept of development work. Within the framework of concept building, the HICRON consultants in collaboration with Novol and on the basis of recommendations of outside experts modeled the business process flow within the Novol group.

“From the very beginning, HICRON consultants focused on seeking out solutions that would ensure maximum return on investment. Due to our positive experience with the company, we decided to continue cooperation and sign an agreement for the implementation of the next stages of the optimization project,” Tomasz Włodarczak concludes.

Cooperation between Novol and HICRON commenced in December 2010 with the signing of a contract for the SAP ERP application service. Since then, HICRON consultants have been supporting Novol employees in their daily work with the system and assisting in the roll-out of SAP ERP within the group.
