In August this year, the project roll-out of the SAP system to the new Volvo Trucks plant in Kaluga, producing cabins for lorries, will be finished. As part of the project, Hicron supports the designation of a new business unit, starting processes to support the maintenance and creation of a new material platform.
This is the second project of this type that Hicron had had in Russia for the Volvo Group – one of the world’s largest producers of trucks, buses and construction equipment.
The project started in March this year. After 4 months, Volvo GTO employees in the truck cabin manufacturing plant in Kaluga began work on the new system. Hicron, as the main contractor, was responsible for system configuration in the area of material management, invoicing related companies and the integration of the areas of finance and controlling. The introduction of new system solutions included the adaptation process between Volvo GTO’s two economic units to Russian legal requirements.
Thanks to the knowledge and support of Andrzej Januszewski of Hicron, this project was carried out quickly and efficiently. We could not imagine beginning the next project without His support – hence the continuation of our cooperation – says Joachim Henning, project manager at Volvo GTO.
