This solution is the newest version of SAP Cloud Platform, ABAP Environment, known internally as Steampunk.

Ensuring the future for your applications

Steampunk is a PaaS, platform as a service, providing an ABAP programming environment. It was initially shipped in 2018. With the platform, developers can create applications to extend SAP products, such as SAP S/4 HANA on Cloud or SAP SuccessFactors, but also on-premise solutions.

When using SAP Cloud Platform ABAP Environment, developers work with the newest version of the stack, also used in other cloud solutions. What does it mean? Most importantly, access to great tools like ABAP RESTful Programming Model and ABAP development tools in Eclipse. There are a lot of editors integrated natively into Eclipse. It creates a developer-friendly environment and lets creating and integrating solutions with the systems more efficiently.

An important change that comes with the 2011 version is that now you can host multiple tenants within a single steampunk instance. It reduces TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) for any ABAP deployment.
